EAASI Welcomes Frederik Skoumann as New Young Ambassador

Updated: 1 day ago

The European Association of Aerial Surveying Industries (EAASI) is pleased to welcome Frederik Skoumann as its newest Young Ambassador.

Frederik’s career combines a strong entrepreneurial drive with deep expertise in drone technology, imaging systems, and business development. He co-founded Droned ApS and later Sky-Drone, where he combined his passion for drones with business innovation. Since 2024, he has worked at Phase One, first as an Application Specialist and now as Product Manager, where he focuses on SDK development, core products, and sales automation tools.

Based in Denmark, Frederik also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and Information Technology from Erhvervsakademi København and later studied at Copenhagen Business School, building a foundation that links technology with commercial opportunities.

“What I enjoy most about my profession is turning advanced imaging into shippable, real-world solutions—the sweet spot between camera and software,” Frederik explains.

One of his recent highlights was working on the company’s P3 product, where he developed sub-millimeter GSD datasets

Frederik’s path into the industry was driven by curiosity. “I was always curious about how pixels become decisions; drones, medium-format imaging, and SDKs made it a natural fit.”

As a Young Ambassador, Frederik will share his experiences, engage with students and young professionals, and help highlight the exciting career opportunities within aerial surveying. His appointment reflects EAASI’s commitment to supporting the next generation of industry leaders and innovators.

The European Association of Aerial Surveying Industries (EAASI) Young Ambassador Program is an initiative designed to connect with the next generation of innovators in aerial surveying.

The program aims to showcase diverse and dynamic careers within the aerial surveying industry while empowering young professionals to become ambassadors for their fields.
