EAASI Student Tour at INTERGEO 2026

Supporting the next generation of professionals is a key priority for EAASI. This September, students attending INTERGEO 2026 in Munich will have the opportunity to explore the world of crewed aerial surveying through the EAASI Student Tour.

Taking place on Wednesday, 16 September 2026 at 10:30 a.m., the guided tour will be led by Patrik Meixner, Chair of the EAASI Students Committee, and Marcos Martínez-Fernández, EAASI Secretary-General.

The tour is designed to give students a closer look at how the technologies and knowledge they encounter in their studies are applied in professional aerial surveying. During the visit, participants will discover different technologies, meet professionals working in the sector, and learn more about the companies and career opportunities shaping the future of airborne geospatial data acquisition.

For students, an industry exhibition such as INTERGEO offers a valuable opportunity to move beyond the classroom. Seeing equipment and solutions first-hand, speaking directly with professionals and understanding the range of roles within the sector can help students connect their academic interests with potential career paths.

The tour is aimed at students already planning to attend INTERGEO. EAASI can provide a free INTERGEO ticket to students who do not yet have one.

The Student Tour also provides an opportunity to discover the breadth of the aerial surveying industry. From aircraft and sensors to data acquisition, processing and specialised applications, the sector brings together a wide range of technical and professional disciplines.
